If you’re reading this blog, you’re most probably a friend that I’ve bugged enough about reading my blog. Most of you already know about my “secret” game project, The Diary of a Survivor, which I’ve been planning since this February.
I finally started working on an arena-like zombie survival engine a few days ago and have put some finalizing touches to it, so it’s now open for public betatesting. It has three weapons to choose from (Glock 18c, MP5 and RPG) right now with unlimited ammo, and eight randomly chosen spots for zombies to spawn from. You also randomly taunt the zombies when you get kills. The shooting engine is pretty clumsy, but the next release will include mouse-aiming and reloading system so it won’t be too easy.
So if anyone’s interested, I’m looking for betatesters. Just hit me with an comment (include your e-mail) and I’ll get in touch with you.
Keep in mind that, if you apply for the test, you shouldn’t wait for a good game. It’s merely the core gameplay engine. It’s graphically very poor and the level design is zero. This should be obvious for anyone whose been in touch with game-making… Graphics and level design only come when you’ve got the engine up and running.
Oh yeah, I also posted a video on YouTube, showing the Lightspeed Rocket Bug in Day of Defeat: Source in action. Check it out!
That’s all.
